Birth Charts & Astrology Class with Yasmin Boland

Hello Readers,

I’m so happy you found your way here. My name is Courtney. As my intro blog states, I’m a mother, wife, and self-proclaimed witchy woman. I’ve been on a spiritual journey these last few years, learning to prioritize myself, find myself again among the many hats I wear or have worn, and loved learning all things metaphysical along the way.

As I’ve grown spiritually, I’ve felt a pull to share what I’ve learned. Despite efforts to resist the pull of putting myself out there, feeling uncomfortable, and not wanting to risk failure. The Universe had other plans. This blog is the outer expression of the work I’ve been doing inside.

Today I want to talk to you about a wonderful, free astrology class and the spectacular woman behind the program.

Yasmin Boland is a journalist turned astrologer. What began as a gifted library became an obsession that has turned into a full-time career in love, learning, and teaching. Yasmin has now authored several books, oracle card sets, and educational PDFs. She writes horoscopes for newspapers, magazines, and the like worldwide. She provides charts for clients and teaches Astrology and Moonology. She has a dedicated Moonology Subscription that helps you learn to manifest your best self, with the guidance of the moon phases. She has a podcast. And she has a variety of smaller workshops available as well. I highly recommend you check out her website, as my small blurb does not do her story justice.

I began following Yasmin a while ago, signing up for the newsletters. I own one of her Moonology oracle decks and have always felt a connection and sense of wonder for the moon. I wasn’t great about actually reading newsletters promptly. Between life and how many random newsletters I signed up for as they catch my eye. Let’s say getting into a consistent habit has taken a while.

However, that all changed a couple of weeks ago when her offer of a free three-day astrology training caught my eye. I slowed down, read through the newsletter in full, and decided to make a change. I’ve been curious about Astrology for a couple of years, but I found trying to read and learn about it to be overwhelming. I’d start reading, and my brain would become overwhelmed, and the information would turn to mush in my head, not making sense or sticking. Sure, I knew what my sun sign was and I had caught on that there were two other signs I should know. The moon sign I understood sort of, but the rising sign, no clue!

So, I said yes to the training. I signed up. I added it to my calendar. And I blocked off the time from other distractions. Then I went to her website area to fill out my birth chart info for the quick birth chart form for the class.

Now, when I say I blocked off time, well, I didn’t have anything scheduled. But with two kids at home who do hybrid school, life once again got in the way on days one and two. I wasn’t able to hop on for the live, but watched the replays. I was able to catch day three on time. Personally, I loved being able to watch day three in real time, then rewatch the replay to take notes and begin using the knowledge actively to compare my chart to my kids’ and husband’s charts.

By the end of the three days, I had a good grasp on the basic building blocks of astrology. Things that seemed overwhelming and confusing before no longer muddle my brain. While I need to reference my notes for details, I now understand the general attributes that contribute to a person based on their astrological zodiac signs for the Sun, Moon, and Rising. I have a good understanding of what the various houses represent and which element and quadruplicity each sign is attributed to. I am very much a beginner level when it comes to astrology, moonology and the cosmos, just a little less confused beginner now.

I have included my notes below as a quick reference, though I highly recommend you take the time to sign up for Yasmin’s class to learn it for yourself. But you’ll see the general info I scribbled down for a quick reference guide, notes as I went through learning the class, comparing charts with my family, and comparing my birth chart versus current charts.

A Cusp is the point where one sign ends and another begins.

Thanks to Yasmin and the free class she offered, I feel much less overwhelmed as I begin to dive into the various

astrology books I have accumulated over the last five years, delving into spirituality and metaphysics. I also

understand horoscopes better now, whereas before they were just random pieces of information pulled together

from references in the sky that I did not understand.

Yasmin also offered a couple of other more in-depth paid courses that I hope to participate in in the future. They

will be added to my Christmas wish list this year. I am all about the experience gifts, memberships, and

subscriptions for passions these days, far more than I am into physical gifts, unless it’s books, witchy things, or

crystals, that is.

Overall, I absolutely loved the three-day class. 10/10 would recommend for sure! I have also added Yasmin’s

books to my TBR list, so I am sure she will come up in a future post once I’ve read through each of them.

Here is the link to her website so you can check her out.

Have a Blessed Day,

Courtney
